A Little About Me

I am a young oil painter based in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, with over 10 years of experience in painting. My artistic journey began at age 12 when I started taking unstructured, open-ended art classes that allowed me to explore my creativity freely. It was in that nurturing environment that I thrived.

 

I first experimented with drawing racehorses like Seabiscuit and Secretariat and even dabbled in pottery. Eventually, I transitioned to oil painting, a medium that at first challenged me but quickly became my passion. With every piece, I saw growth in my technique, and before I knew it, I couldn’t stop painting.

 

For me, oil painting is more than just art—it’s an escape. Every brushstroke is a reflection of my heart and soul, a portal to another time and place. This passion is what led me to share my work with the world, hoping that others can find the same sense of wonder and serenity in my paintings that I do.
