Morning on the Lake is an original oil painting capturing the peaceful beauty of a calm morning on Rush Lake in Atlanta, MI—a place close to my heart. Every summer as a child, I spent my days at my Grammy’s lake house, searching for turtles, frogs, and fish. It was a childhood haven, full of wonder and quiet moments of reflection.
This painting recreates one of those serene mornings as I sat on the dock, watching the world wake up. The air was perfectly still, turning the water into glass. In the distance, clouds drifted away, making way for clear skies, while the reflection of towering trees framed the lake.
